How Unhedged handles your data

The Short Version

We collect what we need to run the platform. We don't sell your data. Blockchain transactions are public by nature.

1. What We Collect

From You

Wallet address and public keys when you connect
Username and email if you provide one
Messages when you contact support

Automatically

IP address and approximate location (used for geoblocking and fraud detection)
Browser type, device info, and session data (via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity)
Platform activity: bets placed, markets viewed, transactions
Error logs and performance data

On-Chain

Transactions on Canton Network are recorded on the blockchain. We can't delete or modify blockchain data — that's how blockchains work.

2. How We Use It

Run the platform — process bets, payouts, deposits, withdrawals
Authenticate your wallet and manage your account
Detect fraud, prevent abuse, and enforce geoblocking
Comply with legal and regulatory requirements (KYC/AML)
Improve the platform using aggregated, anonymized analytics
Send service notifications (not marketing spam)

3. Who We Share With

We do not sell your data. Period.

We may share data with:

Infrastructure providers — hosting, analytics, and blockchain services that help run the platform
KYC/AML providers — if identity verification is required
Regulators and law enforcement — when legally required
A successor company — in case of acquisition or merger (we'd notify you)

4. Cookies

We use cookies and local storage for authentication and preferences. We also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for usage analytics and session recordings. You can manage cookies in your browser settings, but some features may break.

5. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and regular security monitoring. Passwords are hashed and API keys are stored as one-way hashes. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data. If a breach occurs that affects you, we'll notify you as required by law.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Financial and transaction data is retained for at least 7 years for regulatory compliance. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Blockchain data is permanent.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you can:

Request a copy of your data
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements)
Export your data in a portable format
Object to processing or withdraw consent

8. International Transfers

Unhedged is based in Singapore. Your data may be processed in other countries. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses and other safeguards to protect transferred data.

9. Children

You must be 18 or older to use Unhedged. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated on the platform. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
