Trading fees
Order-book fees apply when shares trade. A maker order rests on the book before a fill. A taker order matches an existing order. A limit order can do either, including both across separate fills.
How the fee is calculated
Fee = shares × price × (1 − price) × coefficient
Price is in USD per share. The coefficient is not a flat percentage of the trade value. Fees depend on the execution price of each fill. A negative fee is a rebate. Buy cost equals share value plus the fee. Sell proceeds equal share value minus the fee.
Regular and market-maker rates
Tier 0 is the regular rate. Market makers can receive assigned tiers. Account-specific rates can override these coefficients. Review your order quote for the applicable fees.
